About the role

The Centre Hospitalier Général de Saint‑Nazaire is looking for a Geriatric Physician to work 80 % of a full‑time schedule in its acute geriatric medicine unit. The position is based in a modern hospital campus close to the sea, offering a dynamic environment for senior patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical care for acute geriatric patients in a 70‑bed short‑stay unit and a 30‑bed SSR G unit.
• Participate in the EMG (intra‑ and extra‑hospital) and HdJ services.
• Conduct memory clinic consultations and other outpatient activities.
• Collaborate daily with a multidisciplinary team including occupational therapists, psychologists, physiotherapists, dietitians and other specialists.
• Contribute to personalized care plans and quality‑improvement projects.
• Take part in on‑call duties: 1‑2 weekly night shifts, one weekend every 5‑6 weeks, shared with another geriatrician and an intern.

Required profile

• Qualified geriatric physician (DES, DESC, or equivalent capacity).
• General practitioner currently training in geriatrics or with prior geriatric experience.
• Willingness to engage in team‑based care and institutional projects.
