M&E Project Manager – Data Centre Construction

About the role

Gleeds is seeking an experienced Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Project Manager to lead data centre construction projects on‑site. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality M&E services, ensuring compliance with specifications, and coordinating with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Support Business Unit Directors in achieving project objectives.
• Administer contracts as Contract Administrator, Employer’s Agent or Project Manager.
• Develop and implement procurement and delivery strategies for MEP deliverables.
• Ensure quality and compliance of MEP design, procurement, installation and commissioning.
• Conduct full design reviews of drawings, specifications and schedules.
• Monitor and control procurement, delivery and on‑site commissioning progress.
• Perform regular site walks to promote safety, track corrective actions and report progress.
• Coordinate MEP installation to eliminate wasteful activities.
• Prepare and monitor technical submissions and manage change orders.
• Lead and mentor project team members.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in data centre or large‑scale construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment, engineering specifications and industry standards.
• Proven experience in vendor QA/QC and contract administration.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Methodical, problem‑solving mindset with strong financial and numeracy abilities.
