M&A Analyst / Associate – French Coverage

About the role

Metis Search is partnering with a leading international investment bank to strengthen its French coverage team in Paris. The position is open at both Analyst and Associate levels, offering immediate responsibility on high‑profile M&A transactions across all sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Lead or support the execution of sell‑side and buy‑side M&A transactions in the French market and cross‑border.
• Build and maintain financial models, including DCF, LBO and comparable company analyses.
• Prepare client‑facing presentations, information memoranda and marketing materials.
• Develop relationships with management teams, advisers and investors to support deal origination.
• Manage or conduct financial and commercial due‑diligence processes, coordinating with external advisers.
• Collaborate closely with senior bankers on strategic advisory and transaction workstreams.

Required profile

• 1‑4 years of experience in M&A, investment banking, private equity or corporate finance.
• Strong technical foundation in financial modelling and valuation.
• Proven ability to run workstreams independently and deliver results.
• Commercially minded, resourceful and comfortable in a boutique‑style environment.
• Clear, confident communicator with strong presentation skills.
• Native or fluent French speaker.
