Financial Controller (18‑month contract) – Paris

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller for an 18‑month fixed‑term assignment based in Paris. The role will own the balance‑sheet reporting for four entities across France, the Netherlands and Belgium, ensuring accurate statutory statements and robust governance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare statutory financial statements for each entity in accordance with French, Dutch and Belgian local GAAP.
• Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable and the general ledger for all entities.
• Consolidate the four entities and hand over the results to the group finance team.
• Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with relevant financial reporting standards.
• Manage the monthly closing cycle, cash‑flow forecasting, tax accruals and filings.
• Coordinate external audit activities and maintain relationships with auditors.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant with proven experience preparing financial statements under French, Dutch and Belgian GAAP.
• Hands‑on experience with AR/AP, general ledger management and multi‑entity consolidation.
• Demonstrated ability to own a remit, work rigorously across several entities and raise issues proactively.
• Experience with systems implementation and exposure to a shared‑service centre is a strong advantage.
