Jewellery Specialist

About the role

Christie's is looking for a Jewellery Specialist in Paris. The role develops and manages client relationships, secures consignments, provides valuations and contributes to the success of auctions and private sales. Working closely with colleagues across Christie's international network, the Specialist helps grow the department through business getting, sale execution and departmental development.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with collectors, dealers, institutions and trade clients.
• Sourcing property for auction and private sales and reaching individual business-getting targets.
• Conduct valuations and prepare proposals for prospective consignments.
• Negotiate consignment terms in line with company policies and approval guidelines.
• Provide expertise, pricing recommendations and market intelligence.
• Prepare catalogue property, including research, cataloguing and client-facing materials.
• Collaborate with specialists across the Christie's network to maximise opportunities.
• Support pre-sale exhibitions, client events and sale-related activities.
• Work with Marketing, Press and Client Strategy teams to promote sales and opportunities.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity, and represent Christie's at fairs, events and industry functions.

Required profile

• Significant experience in the jewellery industry; auction experience preferred.
• Proven track record of business getting and client relationship management.
• Strong knowledge of the international jewellery market.
• Fluent in French and English.

• Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
