Java Software Engineer – Onsite in Bourougne, France

About the role

We are looking for a Java Software Engineer to join our on‑site team in Bourougne, France. The role involves supporting a business‑critical application used by French end‑users, collaborating with an India‑based development team, and ensuring high availability and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical and functional knowledge of the application and resolve user tickets.
• Enhance and maintain the business application, writing clean, testable Java code.
• Collaborate daily with India‑based teams using business English.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and optimise the application for performance and scalability.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and prepare technical documentation.
• Participate in status reports, meetings, and coordinate with French‑speaking stakeholders.
• Be on‑call for rare major outages outside regular CET business hours.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience with Java full‑stack development.
• Strong SQL skills (PostgreSQL preferred) with at least 3 years of experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both French and English.
• Customer‑focused attitude and willingness to learn new tools and processes.
