IT Solution Architect – Digital Transverse Functions

About the role

Airbus Helicopters is seeking an IT Solution Architect to join the Digital Transverse Functions Solutions department in Marignane, France. You will help design and deliver innovative digital solutions that support HR, procurement, quality and program functions across the helicopter manufacturing business.

Key responsibilities

• Design end‑to‑end solution architectures (application, data, integration, infrastructure) in line with Airbus Helicopters and Group standards.
• Ensure seamless integration with existing on‑premise and cloud environments.
• Perform technical and functional design of application and infrastructure components based on validated requirements.
• Guarantee compliance with cybersecurity, IAM, national security and export‑control constraints.
• Support product managers and business owners in translating needs into sustainable architectural choices.
• Provide technical leadership during design reviews, implementation issues and production incidents.
• Participate throughout the solution lifecycle from design to deployment and handover to operations teams.
• Act as the primary contact for architecture topics within the EII department and drive simplification, technical debt reduction and legacy retirement.

Required profile

• Strong background in designing complex IT solutions for enterprise environments.
• Experience with both custom development and SaaS‑based digital platforms.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional product and business teams.

Required skills

• Infrastructure & platforms: Virtual Machines, OpenShift, F5, firewalls, IAM, SSO.
• Integration & data flows: MuleSoft, Solace, Kafka, event‑driven architecture, ESB, ETL, Debezium, Axway MFT, Control‑M.
• Application & DevOps: Spring Boot, Angular, Jenkins, Ansible, Git, Artifactory, Dynatrace.
• Databases: MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Redis, Elasticsearch.
• Architecture patterns: microservices, API‑first design.
