Investment Director (Healthcare Private Equity)

About the role

ARCHIMED is seeking an Investment Director to lead its healthcare‑focused private equity activities from Lyon. The role combines strategic investment planning with hands‑on execution across the firm’s diversified portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the firm’s investment strategy in line with overall objectives.
• Identify, evaluate and source new investment opportunities through market research and industry networks.
• Lead due‑diligence processes, including financial, operational and legal assessments.
• Prepare investment theses, valuation models and present recommendations to the investment committee.
• Negotiate and structure transactions, manage legal documentation and oversee closing.
• Monitor portfolio companies, provide strategic guidance and drive value‑creation initiatives.
• Design and execute exit strategies to maximise returns.
• Lead, mentor and develop junior investment professionals, fostering a collaborative team environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics or a related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
• 7‑10 years of experience in private equity, investment banking or a comparable investment role.
• Strong understanding of healthcare sectors such as biopharma, med‑tech, diagnostics and health‑IT.
• Proven track record of sourcing, executing and managing investments.
