Internship – Junior Buyer, European Purchasing (F/H)

About the role

Air Liquide France Industrie, which produces and markets industrial gases in France, is recruiting a final-year student for a direct internship in its European Purchasing department (Achat Europe). The intern works under the guidance of the Category Managers Direct responsible for the strategy, contributing to standardisation projects, supplier negotiations and the definition of category strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse new purchase categories to identify European-level synergies
• Lead cross-functional projects on standardisation, design-to-cost and total cost of ownership, working with the technical team to reduce costs
• Take part in defining category strategies and in tender launches, including supplier analysis and negotiations
• Implement and follow action plans with the European subsidiaries
• Build tools, indicators and summary reports in Power BI and/or Excel
• Depending on the intern's profile, help define strategies for mature product families and possibly take part in annual supplier negotiations

Required profile

• Final-year degree (Bac+5) in purchasing, such as MAI, or a commerce/engineering school specialisation in purchasing, or a Master's in Purchasing
• Fluent conversational English is mandatory; a second language is an advantage
• Affinity for numbers and negotiation, project management, and strong analysis and synthesis skills

Required skills

• Excellent command of the Office suite, especially Excel
