Installation Engineer - Europe

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking an Installation Engineer to join its European Installation team. The role involves installing, testing and handing over semiconductor production equipment across sites in Germany, Ireland, France and Italy, with extensive travel.

Key responsibilities

• Perform mechanical assembly, electrical connections, robot calibrations and system integration independently.
• Follow checklists, procedures and schematics, and conduct troubleshooting and testing with senior engineer support.
• Report status, hours worked and non‑conformances, and participate in escalation calls.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement projects to reduce installation cycle time and cost.

Required profile

• Bachelor or Master degree in mechanical, electrical, mechatronics or related field.
• Strong troubleshooting ability for mechanical and electrical issues.
• Good English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work autonomously and travel up to 75 % of the time.
