Inspecteur produits pétroliers (H/F)

About the role

SGS is seeking a Petroleum Products Inspector (Chemist) for its Oil and Gas Division in the Montoir de Bretagne area. Reporting to the Director of Activities, the role involves performing quantitative and qualitative controls, sampling, and analysis of petroleum, chemical and gas products across various sites in the Pays de la Loire and Brittany regions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct quantitative and qualitative inspections and sampling of petroleum, chemical and gas products according to established procedures.
• Perform measurements and sampling on LNG (methane) carriers.
• Prepare independent inspection reports and flag any anomalies.
• Maintain full traceability of all inspection data.
• Adhere to QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, Environment) regulations.
• Work on variable schedules, including night and weekend shifts, as defined by operational needs.

Required profile

• Minimum education: Bac+2 (or equivalent two‑year post‑secondary degree).
• Preferably experience in petrochemical inspection or analysis.
• Fluent in English.
• Willingness to work on‑site at refineries, depots, service stations, etc.
