Infrastructure, Systems & Automation Administrator

About the role

The Infrastructure, Systems & Automation Administrator will support the continuous evolution of our IT environment, focusing on Linux platforms, virtualization, automation, and hybrid infrastructure. Reporting to the IT Manager, you will ensure operational continuity, security, and efficient management of both on‑premise and cloud resources.

Key responsibilities

• Administer Proxmox VE virtualized infrastructure, including VMs and Linux containers.
• Manage Linux servers (Debian/Ubuntu) and Docker environments for internal services.
• Oversee backup solutions via Proxmox Backup Server and Wasabi S3, conduct restoration tests and support disaster‑recovery planning.
• Maintain network equipment, Fortinet firewalls, VPN solutions (IPSec/OpenVPN), VLANs, routing, and Wi‑Fi deployments.
• Handle Active Directory/Samba‑AD, Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Entra ID, and hybrid identity management.
• Deploy and maintain Linux workstations, configuration management (Puppet), and automation scripts (Bash, Python, GitLab CI/CD).
• Provide Level 1‑3 technical support, incident management, and documentation.
• Participate in IT governance, standards definition, and continuous improvement projects.

Required profile

• Strong experience with Linux system administration and virtualization.
• Proven ability to design and operate backup, storage, and disaster‑recovery solutions.
• Solid understanding of networking, firewalls, VPNs, and security best practices.
• Familiarity with identity and access management in hybrid environments.
• Hands‑on experience with automation, scripting, and configuration management tools.
