About the role

The University of Rennes is seeking a qualified nurse to join its Shared Service for Prevention and Occupational Health (SMUT). Working within a multidisciplinary medical team, you will support the implementation of occupational health policies and contribute to preventive actions that safeguard the physical and mental well‑being of approximately 8,000 staff members across the university and partner institutions.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome employees, listen to their concerns and provide appropriate health advice.
• Maintain continuous communication with occupational physicians regarding ongoing cases.
• Conduct workplace health actions such as job‑site studies, ergonomic adjustments, and risk‑specific prevention counseling.
• Administer vaccinations prescribed by physicians or according to validated protocols.
• Prepare and carry out occupational health examinations, including biometric measurements, screening tests, audiograms, vision tests, and blood analyses.
• Perform medical‑professional interviews and paramedical examinations as requested by physicians.

Required profile

• State‑registered nursing diploma (Diplôme d’État d’Infirmier).
• Preferably additional training in occupational health.
• Knowledge of hygiene, safety and professional risk regulations.
• Ability to conduct individual occupational health interviews.
• Strong communication and active listening skills.
• Capacity to work in a multidisciplinary team while respecting medical confidentiality.
