Industrial Purchasing Manager – Automotive Plant

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Industrial Purchasing Manager to act as the primary link between our automotive plant and central purchasing. The role is embedded on‑site, requiring a strong presence in a high‑pressure manufacturing environment and the ability to influence stakeholders across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Represent purchasing on the Plant Leadership Board and ensure alignment with central purchasing strategies.
• Drive purchasing performance, lead cost‑reduction initiatives, and identify savings through workshops, negotiations and audits.
• Manage supplier issues (quality, logistics, service), recover claims, and develop strong relationships with local and JIT suppliers.
• Contribute to plant‑level sourcing strategies, make‑or‑buy decisions, and support new program launches.

Required profile

• 5+ years of purchasing experience in the automotive manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to work transversally, influencing multiple stakeholders.
• Resilient, autonomous decision‑maker with clear leadership potential.
• Master’s degree in Business, Engineering or related field.
• Fluent in English (C1) and the local language.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SAP.
• Advanced use of standard office tools (e.g., Microsoft Office).
