Index Structurer – Italian Market

About the role

Euronext is looking for an Index Structurer based in Paris to design indices and support the Italian market. The role combines index creation with close partnership with Index Sales, covering client coverage, business development and commercial opportunities with institutional and issuer clients.

Key responsibilities

• Design indices, including data analysis, modeling, back-testing, rule creation, marketing material drafting and operational handovers
• Create new thematic and systematic index strategies tailored to client needs and market trends
• Work closely with Index Sales on the Italian market: reach out to existing and prospective clients, take part in client meetings, presentations and roadshows, pitch index ideas and showcase Euronext Index structuring capabilities
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and support commercial discussions with banks, asset managers, insurers and other financial institutions
• Answer client queries on index rules, compositions, mechanisms, data providers and methodologies
• Support the development of new index solutions for the Italian market and pay close attention to detail during index creation

Required profile

• 2 to 3 years of experience in indexation, portfolio construction, financial product development, structuring, trading or a related quantitative role
• Master's degree preferred in Mathematics, Engineering or Computer Science; degrees in Economics or Finance with a strong quantitative focus are also welcome
• Prior exposure to the Italian financial market and familiarity with local participants is strongly preferred
• Client-facing, sales, structuring or business development experience is highly valued

Required skills

• Advanced Python (essential)
• Full professional proficiency in Italian and English
• Intermediate knowledge of database architecture, data flows and SQL
• Proficiency in Excel
• Familiarity with Bloomberg, Reuters and FactSet
• Strong understanding of financial markets and the Italian market
