Head of Simplification Division (Luxembourg)

About the role

The European Investment Bank (EIB) is seeking a senior leader to head its Simplification Division at the Luxembourg headquarters. You will be responsible for driving efficiency and reducing complexity across the Bank’s internal processes, supporting staff experience and the Group’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Define and steer the strategic direction of the Simplification Division, ensuring alignment with the EIB Group’s reform agenda.
• Identify, prioritize and advance simplification initiatives with the greatest impact on efficiency.
• Establish structured approaches to capture, assess and monitor opportunities, guaranteeing transparency and consistency.
• Mobilize internal and external resources to deliver high‑quality outputs on schedule.
• Collaborate with Directorates, Services and senior management to embed simplification efforts within broader strategic and operational activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in leading large‑scale change or simplification programmes within a complex organization.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders across multiple functions.
• Excellent analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
• Demonstrated capacity to manage cross‑functional teams and deliver results in a fast‑moving environment.
