Head of Sales and Distribution France, Belgium and Luxembourg

About the role

AIG is looking for a Head of Sales and Distribution for France, Belgium and Luxembourg (FBL), based in Paris. The role leads Broker and Client Engagement activities for the FBL cluster and coordinates with the EMEA Head of Broker & Client Engagement. The position reports to both the Cluster General Manager and sits on the Cluster executive committee.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage a distribution team of 21 people (brokers and client relationship managers) across France, Belgium and Luxembourg.
• Monitor the insurance market, identify opportunities and turn them into AIG appetite, working closely with Marketing and Communication.
• Define the distribution and broker/client management strategy for the cluster and deliver annual new business and cross-selling targets.
• Visit partner brokers and key customers to represent AIG, strengthen relationships and retain existing business while delivering new business opportunities across the product range.
• Build and maintain working relationships with each client and broker in the portfolio, and facilitate AIG Corporate relationships at all levels.
• Coordinate the sales process, provide guidance on service delivery, and maintain AIG's Salesforce database.

Required profile

• In-depth experience, ideally in insurance or banking, managing a commercial team.
• Experience of corporate insurance programmes, local and multinational, especially across main commercial lines products.
• Track record of market-facing success and clear understanding of the technical processes behind policy issuance.
• Experience in a multinational organization with a matrix structure.
• Proficiency in French and English.
