Head of Programmes - Transport

About the role

Arrive, a global mobility platform present in over 90 countries and 20,000 cities, is looking for a Head of Programmes to lead its project and programme management team within the Transport Business Unit. You will set up a Centre of Excellence and embed an agile, customer-centric delivery culture, reporting to the VP Global Project Delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Build, coach and scale a Project Centre of Excellence, defining delivery methodologies, governance frameworks and KPIs.
• Promote a customer-first culture across the project lifecycle, improving speed, quality and execution.
• Work with the Business Unit VP and GM to align the delivery roadmap with business growth objectives.
• Lead executive-sponsored strategic projects and transformational programs in the Transport Business Unit.
• Mentor a team of Project Managers and Program Managers, build career paths and performance frameworks, and foster engagement from bid support to handover.
• Hold overall P&L responsibility for the portfolio, safeguard profitability and budget compliance, and support clients in negotiations, contract reviews and scope changes.
• Set up risk-management frameworks, act as escalation point for complex risks, and resolve crises proactively.
• Partner with international counterparts to harmonize workflows and standards, and sponsor cross-organizational initiatives across transport business entities.

Required profile

• 7-10+ years leading complex, large-scale projects and programs in smart transport, ticketing systems, industrial tech or enterprise software integration.
• Proven track record managing and growing teams of project and program managers.
• Experience initiating and running high-visibility strategic projects beyond standard delivery portfolios.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen, with direct P&L responsibility, contract negotiation and risk management experience.
