Head of Learning & Development (L&D)

About the role

Mistral AI is seeking its first Learning & Development leader to shape a learning culture that fuels organizational growth. You will design, implement, and manage the L&D function, aligning learning initiatives with business objectives across a globally distributed team.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute an L&D strategy that supports talent development and business goals.
• Identify skill gaps, create scalable learning paths, and curate external content.
• Design and deliver onboarding, upskilling, and reskilling programs for multiple functions.
• Partner with department heads, people managers, and HR Business Partners to align learning with talent management.
• Select, configure, and deploy a Learning Management System (LMS) integrated with existing HR and IT platforms.
• Establish metrics, KPIs, and governance policies to measure impact and ensure content quality.
• Drive user adoption through training, change management, and continuous feedback loops.

Required profile

• 8+ years of progressive HR experience, primarily in tech startups or high‑growth environments.
• Proven track record building and managing L&D functions across multiple countries.
• Experience implementing and overseeing LMS solutions.
• Strong background in designing and delivering training programs for diverse audiences.
• Familiarity with instructional design principles and adult learning theory.
