Full Stack Engineering Apprentice

About the role

We are looking for a Full Stack Engineering Apprentice to join Symbiose’s platform team. Working in an alternance program, you will collaborate with senior engineers, remote‑sensing specialists and data scientists to turn cutting‑edge research into a production‑ready web application that delivers real‑time forest intelligence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services and frontend features under senior mentorship.
• Integrate geospatial, remote‑sensing and machine‑learning outputs into APIs and web interfaces.
• Build and support data pipelines and ETL workflows that feed the platform.
• Implement and improve user‑facing components using React and TypeScript.
• Assist in adding geospatial visualisation tools such as Mapbox GL.
• Write clean, documented code and participate in code reviews.

Required profile

• Enrolled in a relevant engineering or computer‑science program and seeking an apprenticeship.
• Strong interest in AI, geospatial analytics and environmental impact.
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating in a multidisciplinary team.
• Good communication skills in English.
