Freelance Strategy Consultant – AI Training & Evaluation

About the role

We are looking for experienced strategy consultants to help shape AI systems that learn high‑level business reasoning. As a freelance contributor, you will translate real consulting engagements into structured learning environments for advanced language models.

Key responsibilities

• Design realistic consulting project scenarios, including industry context, financials, constraints, and incomplete information.
• Break projects into discrete, AI‑compatible tasks such as market sizing, commercial due diligence, cost optimisation, growth strategy, and operational diagnosis.
• Develop grading frameworks, evaluation rubrics, and golden‑answer solutions to train and calibrate LLM‑based assessment tools.
• Collaborate remotely with a team of consultants to ensure consistency and quality across all AI training assets.

Required profile

• 3+ years of hands‑on project experience at a top‑tier strategy consulting firm (McKinsey, BCG, Bain, Oliver Wyman, Roland Berger, Monitor Deloitte, EY‑Parthenon, Kearney, Strategy&).
• Proven ability to structure ambiguous client problems into analytical plans and deliver client‑ready recommendations under tight deadlines.
• Experience building financial models, market analyses, and synthesising messy inputs into clear insights.
• Comfort presenting and defending recommendations in uncertain environments.

Required skills

What we offer

• Fully remote, project‑based engagement with flexible hours.
• Opportunity to influence the next generation of AI reasoning capabilities.
• Collaboration with a high‑calibre network of former consultants and AI experts.
