Footwear Designer – Color & Materials – Men's

About the role

The Footwear Designer – Color & Materials (Men’s) shapes the visual identity and premium perception of Lacoste’s men’s footwear collection. You will own the strategic and seasonal colour and material direction, translating brand DNA, consumer insights and cultural trends into compelling product stories.

Key responsibilities

• Define and deliver seasonal colour‑and‑material (C&M) strategies aligned with brand vision and consumer insights.
• Create detailed C&M proposals, boards, line plans and storytelling assets that integrate seamlessly with silhouette design.
• Conduct ongoing research on consumer behaviour, fashion, sport, street culture and material innovation to inform C&M innovations.
• Collaborate with product line management, development and materials teams to ensure C&M intent is cost‑effective, scalable and production‑ready.
• Build and maintain C&M libraries, colour standards and material references while driving continuous process improvement.

Required profile

• Proven experience in footwear colour and material design.
• Strong understanding of footwear constructions, materials and manufacturing constraints.
• Excellent eye for colour, proportion, texture and finish.
• Ability to elevate products through subtle, premium C&M decisions.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop).
• Ability to build clear CMF presentations and line plans.
• Experience working with physical samples and digital assets.
