FMEA Deployment Manager – Design & Process Risk Mitigation

About the role

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is seeking an FMEA Deployment Manager to join its multi‑site Quality team in Toulouse. You will act as a strategic quality leader, embedding Design and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA & PFMEA) across the product development lifecycle. The role works closely with Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality and Operations to drive proactive risk mitigation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead implementation and governance of DFMEA and PFMEA methods within Airbus functions and sites.
• Facilitate cross‑functional FMEA workshops across Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality and Production.
• Ensure seamless closed‑loop flow‑down from DFMEA to PFMEA and Control Plans.
• Drive adoption and integration of FMEA software tools (Skywise & SAP S/4HANA) across the organisation.
• Establish KPIs to monitor risk‑reduction effectiveness, high‑RPN mitigation velocity and system maturity.
• Lead training, capability building and communities of practice to continuously improve FMEA learning solutions.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in Quality, Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering, with at least 3 years facilitating DFMEA/PFMEA in high‑reliability industries.
• Proven experience with quality assurance and proactive risk‑mitigation methods (DFMEA, PFMEA, APQP, Control Plans, problem solving).
• Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate complex technical subjects clearly.
• Ability to influence and negotiate with multiple cross‑functional stakeholders.
• English at negotiation level.
