Financial Derivatives Intern

About the role

Euronext is looking for a Financial Derivatives Intern to join its Financial Derivatives team in Paris, ideally starting in January 2027, reporting to the Pricing and Liquidity team. The intern supports the team's competitiveness in a fast-growing environment, helping with market and product development for the Equity Derivatives franchise and the new Fixed Income Derivatives offering, client interaction and marketing campaigns. The intern may also support the integration of Athex Exchange into the Euronext legacy infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Automate trading report generation to track product developments and share trading trends with clients
• Support commercial efforts by automating client presentations with Power BI, including trading patterns and rankings
• Help data scientists with research and quantitative projects using Python and SQL
• Use AI to monitor competitor developments and market share trends on Euronext markets
• Lead advanced analysis on derivatives (options, futures, etc.) markets to guide strategy and product design
• Support product enhancement and evaluate new product opportunities
• Take part in marketing campaigns and newsletters for new products
• Monitor regulatory changes, economic indicators and competitive intelligence
• Maintain the client database and carry out ad-hoc analyses for the team

Required profile

• Final or penultimate year of a master's degree in finance or engineering
• Previous experience in banking, financial services or large corporations is a plus
• Good understanding of financial services
• Excellent oral and written English; French is a plus
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and project management skills
• Fast learner, proactive and entrepreneurial, able to communicate strategies and decision points to senior stakeholders
