Finance & Controlling Systems Specialist – Project & Run (SAP Expert)

About the role

Airbus Helicopters is seeking a Finance & Controlling Systems Specialist to join its Finance Transformation Department in Marignane, France. The role combines project leadership for finance system enhancements with day‑to‑day operational support of live SAP applications.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end IT/Finance project schedules, define milestones, prioritize tasks, manage scope and report progress to stakeholders.
• Gather business requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications for SAP FI/CO modules.
• Plan and execute testing, defect tracking, business validation and go‑live coordination.
• Design and deliver training sessions to ensure smooth adoption of new solutions.
• Act as the primary contact for live Accounting & Controlling systems, ensuring BAU stability.
• Monitor, analyse and resolve functional incidents and user requests in collaboration with IT support.
• Identify system bottlenecks, propose optimisations and implement minor enhancements.
• Maintain up‑to‑date functional documentation and knowledge bases for key users.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with SAP Finance and Controlling modules (FI/CO); S/4HANA experience is a plus.
• Proven ability to combine IT/Finance project management with operational application support.
• Solid understanding of core accounting and financial controlling processes.
• Project management certifications (PMI, Prince2, Agile) are advantageous.
