Field Technician – Pipeline Inspection & Pigging

About the role

PIPECARE EUROPE is seeking an experienced Field Technician to join its European team. You will support pipeline integrity projects across the oil and gas sector, performing pigging, cleaning, and in‑line inspection (ILI) activities while ensuring safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, sign and submit pigging, daily, express and other operational reports.
• Coordinate equipment and tool requirements, including AGM’s, DGPS, magnets, launching trays, spares and tool boxes.
• Study project documents, operation manuals and pigging procedures to plan field work.
• Maintain professional contact with client field personnel and foster collaborative relationships.
• Execute field tasks safely and efficiently according to PipeCare QA/QC procedures, time, resource and financial plans.
• Perform ILI runs in compliance with POF and API standards, ensuring no data loss.
• Conduct cleaning runs to meet PipeCare cleaning criteria and perform site and DGP surveys.
• Coordinate activities among PipeCare team, subcontractors, clients and other stakeholders.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years recent experience as a Field Technician or in EPC field work, preferably with ILI exposure.
• Experience in the oil & gas sector, especially pipeline inspection.
• Fluent English (written and spoken).
• Ability to travel extensively across Europe and work flexible hours.

Required skills

• Site surveying and DGP survey techniques.
• Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook (intermediate level).
