Entry-Level Embedded Software Development Engineer (m/f)

About the role

Airbus Commercial is seeking an entry‑level Embedded Software Development Engineer to join the Avionics Software department in Toulouse. You will work on critical avionics real‑time software for aircraft systems such as flight controls and warning systems.

Key responsibilities

• Develop embedded real‑time software from high‑level specification through integration and validation on hardware.
• Perform integration and verification activities using probes, bus analyzers and emulators.
• Analyse failure reports, respond to technical requests and support subcontracted activities.
• Contribute to process improvement, design solutions and technology adoption.
• Ensure compliance with airworthiness rules and manage schedule, budget and quality.

Required profile

• Entry‑level graduate with a background in embedded software engineering.
• Strong communication skills, team player attitude and fluency in English and French.
• Open mindset and good interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• C programming in an embedded context.
• Real‑time embedded software development for safety‑critical systems (DO‑178C, DAL A‑E).
• Experience with software engineering methods and DevOps tools.
• Use of test equipment such as probes, bus analyzers and emulators.
