EHS Expert – Data Center Operations (Europe & Middle East)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Expert to lead EHS activities across our data centre projects in Europe and the Middle East. The role combines strategic policy development with hands‑on incident response in mission‑critical environments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate EHS implementation for regional data centre operations.
• Manage real‑time response, coordination and resolution of EHS incidents, liaising with internal teams, emergency services and stakeholders.
• Conduct comprehensive EHS risk assessments, identify critical risks and develop mitigation plans.
• Design, create and optimise EHS policies, procedures and documentation to ensure compliance and reliability.
• Establish cross‑functional collaboration mechanisms to embed EHS requirements into daily operations.
• Promote a safety culture through training, awareness programmes and continuous feedback.
• Ensure site operations comply with international standards (e.g., ISO 45001) and local regulations.
• Support local teams in handling alerts, incidents and emergencies while maintaining operational stability.

Required profile

• Fluent English; Chinese language skills highly preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of EHS experience or 3 + years in data‑centre EHS.
• Strong knowledge of international EHS regulations and standards, including ISO 45001.
• Hands‑on experience in incident response and emergency management.
• Proven ability to develop and implement EHS management systems.
• Excellent communication, coordination and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Proactive, responsible and team‑oriented mindset.
• Experience in mission‑critical facilities such as data centres or industrial infrastructure is a plus.
