Desktop Support Specialist – VIP & Endpoint Engineer

About the role

The Deskside Support Engineer provides advanced, high‑touch IT support to VIP and executive users within an enterprise environment. Acting as the primary onsite technical resource, the engineer ensures rapid issue resolution, manages device lifecycles, and supports collaboration and video‑conferencing technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver white‑glove support to VIP and executive users, prioritising incidents according to SLA and business impact.
• Build, configure, deploy and refresh Windows 11 devices using Microsoft SCCM and Microsoft Intune.
• Perform hardware break/fix for laptops, desktops, peripherals, docks, monitors and printers.
• Execute Active Directory L1/L2 tasks, including user provisioning, group changes and access troubleshooting.
• Provide operational support for Microsoft Teams, Teams Rooms and video‑conferencing suites, including pre‑meeting checks and live‑session assistance.
• Log, track and resolve incidents and service requests in the ITSM platform, escalating complex cases to L3 or vendors.
• Maintain accurate asset records and ensure compliance with endpoint security policies.
