Desktop Support Engineer – L1 (On‑site, France)

About the role

We are a technology services company delivering on‑site IT support across France. As a Desktop Support Engineer – L1 you will provide first‑level assistance to end‑users, ensuring their hardware, software and network environments run smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver on‑site first‑level support for desktops, laptops, peripherals and network connectivity.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software and network issues.
• Use remote support tools and ticketing systems to log incidents, track progress and escalate complex cases.
• Assist with installation, configuration and maintenance of desktop systems and related hardware.
• Coordinate with higher‑tier support teams for escalations and follow‑up.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date inventory of IT assets and document support activities.

Required profile

• Fluent French speaker and French citizen or eligible to work in France.
• Customer‑service orientation with strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Willingness to work on‑site in France and participate in rotational support schedules.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Windows operating systems and desktop management.
• Experience troubleshooting hardware and network issues.
• Hands‑on use of remote support tools and ticketing systems.
• Knowledge of Active Directory and IT asset management.
