Cybersecurity Engineer (F/M)

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to join its Digital Security team in Elancourt, France. You will work on next‑generation defence systems, defining and executing cybersecurity technologies and procedures to mitigate threats and ensure information superiority.

Key responsibilities

• Vulnerability Management – continuously assess the organisation’s cybersecurity posture.
• Change Request Management – maintain security configurations through controlled processes.
• Service Management for Security Products – oversee lifecycle and effectiveness of security tools.
• Threat‑Informed Defence – identify new counter‑measures and improvement projects.
• Hardening & Technical Compliance – define security baselines, analyse hardening guidelines and perform compliance checks.
• Crypto Services – support cryptographic service requirements within the digital security framework.
• Security Configuration – define configurations for security products and business applications.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional experience in a comparable cybersecurity environment.
• In‑depth knowledge of hardening, technical compliance, defence technologies, risk assessment and security automation.
• Familiarity with the CIS Framework and CIS Benchmarks is highly desirable.
• “Hacker mindset” – curiosity to understand, break and fix systems.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
• Ability to work autonomously, lead technical work packages and collaborate in a diverse international team.
• Eligibility for security clearance and French nationality as required by IGI 1300.
