Cyber Risk Management Specialist

Volvo Group is looking for a Cyber Risk Management Specialist to turn cybersecurity insights into clear, actionable risk understanding. The role sits at the intersection of cyber threats, business impact, governance and stakeholder collaboration, supporting the company’s mission to deliver safe, sustainable transport solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate and conduct cyber risk assessments across technologies, services and organisational contexts.
• Translate technical and business inputs into concise, business‑relevant risk statements.
• Support qualitative and quantitative risk analysis, including likelihood, impact, exposure and control effectiveness.
• Evaluate security controls ranging from technical safeguards to governance processes and recommend improvement actions.
• Assess control maturity and develop practical remediation plans.
• Maintain and improve risk‑management methods, templates and tools, and lead workshops with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Required profile

• Structured, analytical and collaborative cybersecurity professional with a strong interest in cyber risk.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts in clear, jargon‑free language to engineers, managers, auditors and senior leaders.
• Self‑driven, curious, diplomatic and action‑oriented, with a focus on creating clarity and building trust across functions.

Required skills

• Solid understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals, including threats, vulnerabilities and controls.
• Experience performing cyber risk assessments and converting findings into business‑relevant risk statements.
• Working knowledge of risk‑management concepts and common security standards or frameworks (e.g., GRC).
