Configuration Management Functional IT Architect

About the role

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is seeking a Configuration Management Functional IT Architect to join its Digital for Configuration Management team in Toulouse. You will help shape next‑generation IT architectures that streamline aircraft change processes and ensure that delivered aircraft meet airworthiness and airline specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Design and drive IT solution architectures for aircraft customization and change‑process domains.
• Optimize synergies across legacy systems such as ACS Convergence to reduce total cost of ownership.
• Represent the Product Service Line on the Digital Customization Board, aligning functional strategies with enterprise architecture.
• Act as a strategic advisor to product managers and owners, ensuring technical deliveries match functional vision.
• Coach and mentor domain architects, promoting architectural standards and Agile/SAFe best practices.

Required profile

• At least 10 years of experience in configuration management, program management, and aircraft customization workflows.
• Minimum 5 years operating in complex, transnational, multicultural environments.
• Strong understanding of enterprise IT landscapes, including PLM, ERP, and planning systems.
