Commercial Analyst – EMEA/APAC

About the role

Join the central Commercial Costing team within Sonoco Consumer Packaging EMEA and support profitability decisions across more than 50 manufacturing plants. Reporting to the Head of Commercial Costing, you will focus on RFQ and costing activities, helping to develop best‑in‑class cost models for a complex international manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed costings for RFQs, tenders and pricing requests, validating assumptions, manufacturing costs and sourcing options.
• Build, maintain and improve product cost models, analysing key cost drivers such as materials, labour, logistics and manufacturing costs.
• Conduct profitability reviews by customer, product, market segment and region, identifying margin improvement and cost‑reduction opportunities.

Required profile

• Experience or strong knowledge of Cost Accounting, Manufacturing Controlling or Commercial Costing in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent Excel and data‑analysis capabilities with a commercial mindset.
• Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, Engineering or a related field.
