CO2 Business Developer – Energy Transition

About the role

The CO2 Business Developer will support Air Liquide CO2 Europe’s Energy Transition team in shaping the future CO2 sourcing landscape across Europe. You will work on identifying, assessing and securing new green CO2 sources while ensuring the sustainability and competitiveness of existing supplies.

Key responsibilities

• Validate long‑term CO2 sourcing needs with product management and local representatives.
• Monitor economics and sustainability of current raw gas sources to assess long‑term viability.
• Maintain competitive intelligence on existing and future CO2 sources, updating the team on potential projects.
• Proactively identify, evaluate and negotiate agreements with new biogenic CO2 providers (biogas, bio‑ethanol, bio‑SMR, waste‑to‑energy).
• Support technical documentation for investment processes once projects are validated.
• Identify emerging technologies, applications and markets that could become future CO2 sources.
• Contribute to ad‑hoc Energy Transition projects such as regulatory monitoring, e‑fuel applications and advocacy actions.
• Assist with CO2 emission reporting within the team and the wider Air Liquide Group.

• Excellent communication skills to negotiate with external prospects and internal stakeholders.
