Clinical Application Specialist / Clinical Science Liaison

About the role

Siemens Healthineers (Varian Interventional Oncology business unit) is hiring a Clinical Science Liaison (CSL) / clinical application specialist for its Medical Affairs department in France. The role provides case support mainly in France, is 100% field based and requires regular travel within the assigned territory.

Key responsibilities

• Provide case support primarily in France and stay up to date with all products in the VIO portfolio
• Ensure products and ancillary components are available for each case, working with the CSL team, sales team and logistics
• Support cases outside the managed territory with other CSLs when needed and submit case support documents on time
• Train and educate physicians and hospital staff on interventional oncology products, using operators manuals and device user files to design courses, and possibly lead or coordinate training and give large-group presentations at seminars and trade shows
• Provide on-site clinical support during procedures while keeping a hands-off posture toward direct patient contact
• Collaborate with Medical Affairs and cross-functional teams, assist Medical Education, Medical Information and Medical Science Liaison on projects, and share product performance information with headquarters

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
• 5 to 10 years of experience in life-science industry-based medical support roles
• Preferred background: IR/CT technician, operating room nurse or surgical technician
• Knowledge of IR suite, operating room protocol and sterile technique
• Knowledge of national and regional regulations on interactions with healthcare professionals
• Experience supporting tissue ablation procedures highly regarded
• Fluent French and English; preferably based in Paris or nearby
