Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – France

About the role

We are seeking a Chief Financial Officer to lead the finance function of Royal Canin France. Reporting to the General Manager, the CFO will shape the financial strategy, drive value creation and support the company’s mission to improve the health and wellbeing of cats and dogs.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the financial and value‑creation strategy for the French unit.
• Partner with the General Manager to allocate resources, prioritize investments and monitor performance against targets.
• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting processes.
• Oversee cost‑management initiatives, margin improvement and supply‑chain optimization.
• Drive organisational transformation, including ERP and Copilot framework implementations and change‑management programmes with French work councils.
• Provide strategic insight to senior leaders, influence commercial decisions and navigate the complex distribution landscape in France.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and maintain robust financial health.

Required profile

• 12+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, preferably in a multinational environment.
• University degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or an MBA.
• Fluent in English and French.
• Proven ability to build trusted relationships with senior executives and commercial teams.
• Demonstrated experience leading change, organisational transformation and working with French work councils.
