About the role

The successful candidate will join a research team in Bordeaux to develop a novel photocatalytic process and investigate its reaction mechanism. This post‑doctoral position focuses on cutting‑edge photoredox catalysis applied to organic synthesis.

Key responsibilities

  • Design and develop methodological approaches for a new photocatalytic transformation.
  • Optimize catalytic conditions to achieve high efficiency and selectivity.
  • Explore the reaction scope and evaluate substrate compatibility.
  • Conduct experiments under controlled pressure and temperature conditions.
  • Analyse reaction pathways and elucidate mechanistic details.

Required profile

  • PhD in Chemistry, preferably with a focus on organic synthesis or catalysis.
  • Demonstrated experience in photoredox or photocatalytic research.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication in French or English.
