Casual Academic Tutor Positions – Business & ISTM

About the role

The School of Information Systems & Technology Management (ISTM) at UNSW Business School is seeking casual academic tutors for a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in 2026. This talent pool offers students and recent graduates the chance to support teaching, marking and class management across multiple terms.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver tutorial sessions and support classroom activities for assigned courses.
• Assist with class management, marking assignments and providing constructive feedback.
• Attend mandatory tutor training and be available from Week 1 to Week 10 of each term.
• Collaborate with course convenors and maintain accurate records of student progress.

Required profile

• Current Information Systems students (including Honours, combined degree or Bachelor of Commerce with IS major) or graduates with a higher qualification than enrolled students.
• Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 73 % or higher.
• For BIS majors, only PASS tutor roles are available; Honours candidates must have completed all Level 1‑3 INFS courses.
• Graduate applicants must hold a relevant postgraduate degree or demonstrate equivalent experience.
• Availability for the full tutorial period and willingness to attend training.
