About the role

The UNSW School of Mathematics and Statistics is inviting qualified individuals to join its casual academic talent pool. Successful candidates will support the delivery of first‑year mathematics tutorials, labs, demonstrations and marking activities across a range of courses.

Key responsibilities

Conduct tutorial sessions for first‑year mathematics subjects.
Facilitate laboratory and demonstration activities as required.
Mark assessments and provide constructive feedback to students.
Participate in a short demonstration tutorial interview, solving and explaining algebra and calculus problems.

Required profile

Relevant qualifications in mathematics, statistics or a closely related discipline.
Legal right to work in Australia and an Australian bank account.
Commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion.
Flexibility to engage in various teaching formats.
