Business Development Manager, Private Equity

About the role

Linklaters is looking for a Business Development Manager for its Private Equity practice in Paris. The role supports the execution of BD strategies that drive growth for Private Equity, aligned with the firm's strategy and client and sector priorities. It focuses on the Paris practice while also contributing to regional and global efforts, under the direction of the BD Lead, Private Equity and the Manager, Country BD Leads.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and execute growth strategies for the Private Equity practice in Paris, and support the BD plan, business plans with KPIs and timelines, and monitor their delivery
• Pitch and lead pitch materials and panel submissions, work with lawyers and pitch teams to shape messaging, and capture feedback to improve future pitches
• Support and develop existing client relationships, create client development plans, and deliver strategic cross-selling and cross-practice growth
• Coordinate with Sector BD teams, share market intelligence, and foster collaboration with global BD and marketing colleagues
• Use CRM, analytics and other data tools to generate insights on client and market trends, and provide lawyers with BD dashboards and reporting
• Track competitor trends and client movements, and support firm-wide BD data initiatives with a Private Equity focus

Required profile

• Experience in business development supporting Private Equity services, preferably in professional services
• Knowledge of private equity transactions, fund formation and market trends
• Experience supporting BD strategy development and implementation, and contributing to pitch materials and client proposals
• Ability to interpret market data, understand cross-selling strategies, and use marketing technology and data tools for BD insights
• Strong communication skills and knowledge of global professional services processes and shared service models
• French and English, excellent written and spoken
• Master's degree (or equivalent); a Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience is also considered
