Bank Accountant (H/F) – Fixed Term

About the role

Saft, a specialist in high-technology batteries for industry and a wholly owned subsidiary of TotalEnergies, is looking for a bank accountant in Levallois-Perret. You will report to the Accounting Manager and work in a six-person team. The position is a fixed-term contract of 6 months.

Key responsibilities

• Daily posting of bank transactions for Saft SAS and managing several bank accounts for a single legal entity
• Filing and maintaining daily banking transaction records
• Processing manual bank transfers and balancing entries, including intercompany advances
• Monthly bank reconciliations in Excel as part of month-end closing
• Liaising with Customer Service, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and General Accounting to ensure correct allocation of transactions
• Preparing monthly foreign currency positions for bank accounts to support FX difference calculations
• Managing cash pooling activities
• Supporting audits and answering ad hoc requests from internal departments and external auditors

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field (minimum two-year post-secondary qualification)
• At least 4 years of experience in bank accounting
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy and organisational skills
• Able to work independently and prioritise workload
• Discreet and able to handle confidential information professionally
