Back End Developer

About the role

We are looking for a Back End Developer to design, develop and maintain scalable, reliable services that power our platform. You will work closely with product managers and cross‑functional teams to translate requirements into high‑quality code and ensure the health of our micro‑service ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain robust backend code for large‑scale data processing.
• Collaborate with product managers and other departments to gather and clarify requirements.
• Implement monitoring and alerting solutions to track performance and availability of microservices.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices and tooling.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve production issues promptly.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field.
• Proven experience as a backend developer handling large‑scale data workloads.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities, attention to detail and a motivated, open‑minded attitude.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python (TypeScript is a plus).
• Experience with Kafka and microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with containerisation tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of GIS concepts is a nice‑to‑have.
