About the role
The Banking Department of the Bank of China Paris Branch is seeking an AML & Control Manager to lead the processing of alerts from the Financial Intelligence Unit and ensure compliance with AML/CFT, sanctions, and related regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Process real‑time and retrospective alerts on high‑risk transactions received from the FIU/LCD, meeting required deadlines.
- Assess risk based on KYC information, collaborate with relationship managers, and request additional client documentation when needed.
- Handle alerts covering all individual banking clients and transaction types, including SEPA, international wires, checks, and more.
- Screen and resolve sanctions, AML/CFT, and PEP alerts within the same day, including regular processing of U.S. resident alerts.
- Monitor client activity continuously, report unusual transactions, and stay updated on regulatory changes.
- Execute specific LCD‑requested operations such as correspondent‑bank investigations, client exit management, and provision of client data for authority investigations.
- Maintain a professional image of the bank and support ad‑hoc tasks during peak workload periods.
Required profile
- Master’s degree (Bac+5 or equivalent).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar AML/compliance role.
- Bilingual in French and Chinese with a good command of English.
- Strong proficiency with IT tools and core banking systems.
