AI Program Lead

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space is seeking an AI Program Lead to drive its AI transformation in Toulouse, France. The role bridges business ambitions with technical execution, shaping the AI roadmap and building the foundations for scalable, secure AI services.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain a long‑term AI strategy, establishing guardrails, ethics and governance frameworks.
• Identify high‑value AI use cases, lead ideation, prototype development and Proof‑of‑Concept delivery.
• Design and enforce AI architecture patterns, model validation workflows and best‑practice standards.
• Integrate AI capabilities into existing DevOps and platform engineering stacks (LLMOps/MLOps).
• Coordinate with Digital teams to provision technical stacks, including GPUs, compute resources and AI tooling.
• Develop and deliver upskilling programmes, foster a community of practice and share reusable AI blueprints.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading AI initiatives at scale within large organisations.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, able to align technical solutions with business goals.
• Excellent understanding of AI ethics, governance and regulatory considerations.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
