Accounting Manager – Record to Report (R2R)

About the role

Mistral AI is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead the Record‑to‑Report (R2R) function as the company expands internationally. Based in Paris, you will own the end‑to‑end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting across all entities.

Key responsibilities

• Own and run the monthly, quarterly and annual close, maintaining a detailed calendar and checklist.
• Track daily progress, identify risks early and ensure all deadlines are met.
• Supervise a team of GL accountants, allocate responsibilities and coordinate efforts across entities.
• Oversee journal entries, trial balance accuracy and monthly balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Manage intercompany accounting, reconcile mismatches and prepare data for group consolidation.
• Collaborate with Accounting Operations, Technical Accounting and Financial Control to ensure clean inputs and policy compliance.
• Support audit and statutory reporting, prepare documentation and maintain audit readiness.
• Identify inefficiencies, drive automation and improve ERP and reconciliation tools.

Required profile

• CPA or equivalent professional designation.
• 8+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in a multi‑entity, international environment.
• Proven ability to lead a close team and manage complex intercompany processes.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on accuracy and risk mitigation.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems.
• Experience using reconciliation tools.
