Account Manager – Paints & Coatings, Adhesives (France)

About the role

As an Account Manager within BTC France, the internal distributor of the BASF Group in France, you will manage a portfolio of existing and prospective customers in the paints & coatings, adhesives, and construction markets. You will combine technical knowledge with commercial acumen to deliver tailored solutions that support sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze customer needs, provide first‑level technical support and propose commercial and technical solutions.
• Develop and execute customer strategies based on deep market and product knowledge.
• Lead commercial negotiations to grow market share and achieve results.
• Prospect new customers while retaining and expanding relationships with existing ones.
• Contribute ideas for integrating new product ranges, including third‑party offerings.
• Maintain and update market and customer data through reporting systems.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Chemistry.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a technical sales role.
• Experience in the paints & coatings market; knowledge of adhesives is a plus.
• Fluent in French and English; German is an additional asset.
• Dynamic, flexible, results‑oriented team player comfortable with complex organisational structures.
