Tester Engineer

About the role

The Tester Engineer will lead software testing and validation for TheraPanacea’s medical device software, ensuring quality, performance and regulatory compliance throughout the development lifecycle. Working in a highly regulated oncology AI environment, the role combines functional testing, test automation and performance engineering to support safe release decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Review Software Requirements Specifications and V&V documentation with product owners and technical leads.
• Design, write and maintain test plans, protocols and automated end‑to‑end test suites for both cloud and on‑premises versions of ART‑PLAN.
• Execute manual functional tests on all release candidates and report, track and prioritize defects.
• Perform full verification testing according to IEC 62304 and validate behavior on AWS cloud tenants (EU‑West‑3, US, UK) and air‑gapped on‑premises deployments.
• Deliver GO/NO‑GO recommendations at each release gate and maintain traceability for certification audits.
• Design and run long‑run, benchmark and performance tests (load, stress, capacity) for cloud and on‑premises environments.
• Maintain automated test infrastructure in Azure DevOps, monitor test stability and triage flaky tests.
• Mentor a junior software tester and contribute to continuous improvement of the QMS testing process.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, V&V processes and medical device regulations.
• Experience working in cross‑functional teams and communicating with developers and quality assurance personnel.
• Ability to analyse regression impact, support release readiness reviews and monitor post‑release performance.
