Technical Trainer

About the role

Renault Trucks International is looking for a Technical Trainer to lead the technical competence development programme for its Africa & LAPAC importer network. Based in Lyon (Saint‑Priest), you will report to the Competence Development Manager and work closely with the Aftermarket Management Team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and organise competence development solutions, including self‑study material, classroom courses and other training resources.
• Maintain the trainer network and curriculum for defined technical subjects.
• Plan and implement the full training calendar for Renault Trucks partners.
• Handle training preparation and logistics for all technical programmes.
• Design course outlines and select appropriate methodologies (ILT, e‑learning, video) to close competence gaps.
• Develop course material following Renault Trucks standards and templates.
• Deliver technical and driver training sessions.
• Conduct training evaluations and produce post‑training reports.
• Coordinate with the Quality & Warranty department on technical and warranty issues.
• Support importer workshop staff participation in competence development competitions such as RISE.
• Provide input for improvements to training materials, curricula and interventions.
• Meet agreed KPIs for development and delivery.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of technological advancements and training best practices.
