Directeur Accueil Loisirs (F/H)

About the role

The City of Lyon is looking for a Director of Leisure Reception (F/H) to lead its school‑based leisure services. Reporting to the Department of Education, the director will ensure that the city’s educational and medico‑social policies are applied to after‑school and recreational programs for thousands of children.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the planning, organization and delivery of leisure activities across 207 municipal schools.
• Ensure compliance with the educational and health policies defined by elected officials.
• Coordinate with school principals, teachers and external partners to meet the needs of approximately 32 000 enrolled children.
• Manage budgets, staffing and resource allocation for the leisure department.
• Monitor program quality, safety standards and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Relevant higher education degree in education, social work or a related field.
• Proven experience in managing large‑scale youth or school leisure programs.
• Strong knowledge of French educational regulations and child‑safety standards.
• Leadership and organizational skills to supervise multidisciplinary teams.
